Challenge
The operator's in-house trading floor was capped at 8 traders across two shifts, leaving the LATAM 16:00–24:00 UTC window covered by an overflow vendor with no liability mandate. Peak in-play days were producing latency on line-adjustments and inconsistent supervisor sign-off.
Solution
We ran a 6-week onboarding to ingest the operator's pricing engine, risk thresholds and escalation matrix. From go-live we covered 24/5 with three shift hubs (Lisbon, São Paulo, Manila), a head-trader on every shift and Pager-duty escalation to the operator's risk lead for any liability event above the agreed band.
Outcomes
Liability events resolved without escalation
Supervisor sign-off on every shift
FTE replaced from in-house roster
“Their head trader picks up the phone before our risk lead does. That's the difference between an outsourced desk and an extension of ours.”
